Course: Dante's "Divine Comedy": The Inferno
Course description:One of the greatest Catholic poets every born, Dante Alighieri deeply moves the soul as the student reads this beautiful masterpiece of verse which Alighieri wrote in the early 1300’s, and called The Divine Comedy. The reader sees Dante himself as the main character, guided by his hero, Virgil, through the tremendous and piteous pains of hell. In this course, the student gets a good taste of some of the most beautiful and moving Catholic poetry ever written as he reads "The Inferno", the first part of this Divine Comedy.
Recommended for grades 10 – 12.
