Course description:

This encyclical primarily warns against errors of naturalism and flase freedom. The pope then gives the true Catholic view we should take on these subjects. This is perhaps the most hated encyclical by the enemies of the Church, with good reason: it condemns almost all their errors, many of which have ensnared the minds of modern men today – including many Catholics! We would have highlighted this encyclical as one of the two samplers for students to begin with, but it does condemn some errors which the student might have a hard time understanding (although we do give notes and explanations).
