Course description:
This course is suitable for the upper middle-school (grade 8) or for lower-level high school (grade 9). For middle school students, it is the last in a three part series on English grammar (usually begun in 6th). But it can also serve as excellent review for incoming high school students, especially since the upper high school grades concentrate on composition. Without excellent grammar, we believe there can be no solid composition skills.
This course concentrates on a thorough treatment of the parts of speech, especially verbs with tense, mood, voice, and aspect. As good grammar should lack in sentence diagramming practice, this book is rich with diagramming exercises, which is so critical for analyzing how we think when we communicate.
