Course: Latin Year I

Course description:

This first year of Latin will give the student a firm foundation in the fundamental concepts of the language.  As one would expect in an introductory text, the emphasis is on the parts of speech, including the five declensions of nouns and the chief conjugations of verbs, along with mood, voice, and tense.  In this way, the student will be well prepared to tackle the more difficult translation exercises of Latin year 2.

This book is a brand new work, with passages and examples pertaining to the Catholic Faith, good literature, and interesting topics.  It also contains many sentence diagramming examples, which are critical for proper thinking and analysis.  As with all of our courses, we can grade all the coursework for you - a huge timesaver with a subject like Latin, in which the student must complete many exercises in order to get a grip on the language.
