Against inconceivable odds, she cast out the last Moslem king from Spain, overcame the machinations of her pretended friends, and the commissioned the first European explorations of the New World. A longer and moving historical biography of one the most noble women rulers that ever lived; the incredible problems she faced in even assuming her throne; battling to save Spain against incredible odds and powerful enemies both internal and external, who hated her unflinching Catholicism and desire for the conversion and salvation of souls.
