This laboratory manual is designed for use with the textbook Biology for High School – a Traditional Catholic Perspective by Christ the King Books. This manual contains over 40 activities to choose from, with some of them containing multiple experiments.

This manual can be used by Catholic schools in a formal setting but can just as well be used by homeschooling families (with supervision of the student).

Most activities require very little special equipment. For example, a microscope is required for only one designated lab, to which there are alternative labs. For schools or families with no microscope, there are corresponding “virtual experiments” in which the student can instead read, see detailed illustrations, and watch a video. For those who do not wish to perform dissections, there are also “virtual dissection” activities.
